Erhu Group Classes

These classes, tailored by age, provide introductory group lessons on the Chinese bowed fiddle - the erhu. No previous experience is necessary. Basic concepts will be covered including: basic postures and bowing techniques, how to tune the instrument, introduction to cipher notation and playing 3 to 4 simple pieces.

The instructor will assist with instrument rentals or sales. There will be a concert at the end of the course to celebrate the students' achievements.

CHILDREN'S ERHU CLASS with Nicole Li 
Recommended for: Children age 5-12yrs. No previous musical experience required.
Dates and Times: Fridays, 4-5:30pm. 8 weeks each term.
Oct 7 - Dec 2 / Jan 13 - Mar 3 / Apr 21 - Jun 9
(No class Nov 11)
Fee: $75 per term (tuition-assisted fee for successful applicants
$280 per term (non-assisted fee)

ADULT / TEEN ERHU CLASS with Yun Song 
Recommended for: Adults and teens age 13 and up. No previous musical experience required.
Dates and Times: Mondays, 12:30-2pm. 8 weeks each term.
Oct 17 - Dec 5 / Jan 9 - Mar 6 / Apr 3 - Jun 5
(No classes Feb 13; Apr 17 or May 22)
Fee: $280 per term
(registration fee may apply)
