Music of Ancient China: Play the Erhu or Zheng

August 8-25 
ZHENG: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm
ERHU: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11:30am
Recommended for: Adults with an interest in learning Chinese traditional music. No experience required.
Instructors: Min Lin (Zheng); Yun Song (Erhu)
Fee: $295

Explore one or both of these fascinating Chinese instruments in a sociable and supportive environment of introductory group lessons for adults. Basic concepts will be covered including: how to tune the instrument, posture and playing techniques, introduction to cipher notation (Chinese music notation), and learning repertoire by ear.

There will be an informal presentation at the end of the course to share and celebrate student achievement.

Erhu ($25) and Zheng ($50) rental for the week is available. Please contact us for details.
