Recognized as “a violinist in a class of his own” (The Times), James Ehnes brings his 50th birthday international recital tour to Vancouver with pianist Andrew Armstrong, performing Brahms and Bartók alongside a new work by Canadian composer Carmen Braden. A longtime friend of the VSO, James is a favourite guest at the world’s most celebrated concert halls and is gifted with a rare combination of stunning virtuosity, serene lyricism and an unfaltering musicality.
