Amanda Lockitch began working with very young children as a Gymboree Play and Music instructor where she facilitated play between parents and children under 5 years old. She taught for many years at the Opus Academy guiding students through Interview Skills, Language Arts, and the exam levels of the Royal Conservatory (RCM), Trinity College London (TCL), and the London College of Music (LCM). She currently teaches Speech & Drama and Interview Skills at Lyrebird Academy.
Amanda is a New York trained actor, director, and producer. She earned a double major BA in English and Drama and an MA in Theatre History and Criticism from the University of British Columbia (UBC). She held a lectureship at the University of Toronto (U of T) where she taught Introduction to Theatre as well as performance courses.
While at university in Toronto, Amanda completed her yoga teacher training at the Yoga Sanctuary. She continues to train and completed her Kid’s Yoga teacher training at Semperviva in Vancouver.
Her favourite job is mom to her two year old son, Elijah.
