Callum Alden
Callum Alden (McGill, BMus) is a Vancouver-based opera singer and music teacher. He has worked with young musicians for years, starting at the McGill Conservatory in Montreal before moving to Vancouver and joining the VSO School of Music. In addition to being an experienced early years music instructor, Callum has had voice studios in both Montreal and Vancouver.
Callum is also an active performer. He’s a regular chorus singer with Vancouver Opera. In 2024, he sang a leading role in Seattle Opera’s touring education program. He’s an alum of the Young Artist Program of the Opera Company of Middlebury. Active with local arts organizations, he’s also sung with Burnaby Lyric Opera, Crescendo Operatic Society, and Pacific Northwest Opera. He’s a proud member of CAEA and ACTRA.
He’s excited to be teaching at the VSO School of Music and looks forward to helping young students discover the joy of music.
