Claire Devlin is a Montréal-based saxophonist, composer, and improviser whose “adventurous yet lyrical” approach has established her as a compelling voice in Canada’s jazz and creative music scene. She released her debut album Anyone (2020) and Root in Tandem (2023) with acclaimed collective Bellbird, winner of the 2023 Prix François-Marcaurelle. Claire co-leads Bellbird and The Plastic Waste Band, and collaborates with artists such as Tommy Crane, Unessential Oils, Sarah Rossy, John Hollenbeck, Jazzlab Orchestra and the Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra. She has performed at major Canadian jazz festivals and has toured in France, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
