Deborah Ziolkoski
Deborah Ziolkoski is an elementary Orff music specialist with over thirty years’ experience. She has had the pleasure of teaching music as guest instructor in numerous Early Years facilities and continues to provide workshops to classroom, ECE and K-6 music educators across North America and abroad. Deborah is currently teaching music with the Surrey School District in British Columbia. In years past, Deborah has worked closely with the VSO, designing lessons for the teacher-guided activities for their Elementary School Concerts. Her Orff Clubs have had the privilege of performing live with the VSO Elementary School Concerts and at many other events, including National Orff Conferences.
Deborah is the creator of Fun with Composers and the author of the Fun with Composers Teacher Guides (published in English and French with the multi-talented Francophone Nicole Lafrenière) which support music curricula in schools worldwide. FWC Publishing is the proud publisher of music resources from highly regarded music and movement specialists Sue Harvie and Allison Tipler. Deborah’s Fun with Composers team consists of five international music, movement, and yoga specialists who have created the Playful Arts & Learning Curriculum by integrating classical music, dramatic play, creative movement, yoga, and mindfulness. This curriculum is designed to stimulate a child’s imagination while promoting creativity, teamwork, leadership, and inclusivity along with nurturing core values of kindness, good manners, and empathy.
