Graham Villette is one of British Columbia’s most in-demand jazz drummers. A devoted student of the jazz tradition, he draws inspiration from the artistry and legacy of the great drummers throughout history. He is passionate about sharing his love of music and the drums with his students, helping to inspire them to become the best musicians they can be. For the past decade, Graham has enjoyed teaching students of all ages, from 5 to 80 years old.
After earning a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto in 2021, Graham returned to British Columbia and has since become a regular presence on the jazz scene in Vancouver, on Vancouver Island, and throughout the Lower Mainland. Over the past decade, he has had the privilege of studying with acclaimed jazz drummers including Hans Verhoeven, Terry Clarke, Ethan Ardelli, and John Lee.
Known for his strong sense of swing, musicality, and versatility, Graham is a valuable asset on any bandstand. He has shared the stage with many outstanding musicians, including Cory Weeds, Joe Magnarelli, Akiko Tsuruga, Champian Fulton, James Danderfer, Miki Yamanaka, Ray Gallon, John Lee, Brad Turner, Steve Kaldestad, Miles Black, Mike Allen, Attila Fias, Ryan Oliver, Tony Genge, and many others.
