Lacri Galagan is a professional classical pianist and educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from TUAMK (Finland) and a Master’s in Classical Piano Performance from the Sibelius Academy, one of the world’s leading music institutions. During her nine years of piano studies in Finland, she was awarded Third Prize in the national Leevi Madetoja Piano Competition and performed as a soloist with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and the Oulu Symphony Orchestra.

Her teaching combines the Finnish Piano School methodology with the RCM curriculum, emphasizing technique, improvisation, exam preparation, and advanced repertoire. Her students range from young children to adults in their eighties, each benefiting from a student-centered, supportive learning environment.

As a performer, she has appeared in concerts across Moldova, Romania, Finland, Poland, and France, and continues her artistic career in Vancouver. While classically trained, her current musical passions include Balkan music and jazz. She performs throughout British Columbia with her Balkan ensemble, Fetele din Balkani, and is also developing as a jazz vocalist with Jennifer Scott, exploring the expressive intersection of voice and piano improvisation.
