Spartak Margaryan, a pianist of Armenian heritage born in Hamburg, began his musical training at the Alexander Spendarian Music School for highly gifted children, where he also developed as a composer, with works performed at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. A prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including the Grand Prix at the Flame Competition in Paris, he studied his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with Prof. Anna Vinnitskaya at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and began a Konzertexamen degree as a student of Prof. Konstantin Lifschitz at the Lucerne University of Music. Margaryan performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, Armenia, and North America; his acclaimed recording of Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations (Sonus Eterna, 2021) was praised for its exceptional refinement. A recipient of several major scholarships, he was named a “Hamburg Rising Star” in 2019 and has appeared at leading international festivals and venues, and is widely regarded as one of the most promising pianists of his generation.
