Discover Chinese instruments and music this summer!
This camp is designed to promote an appreciation and interest in Chinese musical instruments, offering participants the chance to learn and play a variety of instruments such as the guzheng, erhu, pipa, dizi, and more.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or experienced learner, this camp welcomes all levels and ages, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for participants to hone their skills and deepen their knowledge of Chinese music. No prior experience is necessary—just a love for Chinese music and instruments! Camp will end with a showcase performance.
This camp will be led by our World Music Department Chair, Zhimin Yu, who is also the instructor of Azalea, our all-year-round Chinese instruments ensemble that has performed at various prestigious venues across Vancouver.
