Encore! Piano is a piano course designed to reignite your love for the piano in a fun and supportive environment. This is a new course that will begin in January 2025. This course is designed for adult learners aged 16 and above who have been playing for several years and are looking to rediscover their passion, improve their skills, and take their playing to the next level. Here’s what you’ll gain:
- REFRESH
Rekindle Interest – Sometimes, the best way to reignite your piano journey is in a group setting. This course fosters an appreciation for diverse repertoires and styles, helping you see the piano in a new light. You’ll explore different genres and share experiences with fellow learners, inspiring one another to keep going.
- RELEARN
Expand Knowledge – If you’ve been playing for 5+ years and feel like you’ve hit a plateau, this course is perfect for you. We’ll help you sharpen your technique, build better practice habits, and introduce a wide range of piano literature. Learn to analyze scores, apply music theory, and expand your repertoire and knowledge to become a more well-rounded, intelligent pianist.
- PLAY YOUR WAY
Improve Confidence – Do you love playing but shy away from performing? This course is designed to help you break through those barriers. In a relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere, you’ll have the freedom to make mistakes, learn, and gain the confidence to share your music with others.
Each student will also have the opportunity to bring in two pieces they’d like to perfect over the course of the term. Our instructor will work with you individually to refine these pieces and help you perform them confidently, with technique and artistry. Other learning materials, repertoire and group projects will be assigned as well to practice the concepts learned in class.
Is this course suitable for me?
This class is perfect for adult piano enthusiasts who have been learning for more than 5 years and have the ability to learn new pieces independently. If you’re ready to expand your knowledge, improve your playing, and gain confidence, this course is made for you!
