Registration for Summer Camps is now open!
Where curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow through play, listening, and ensemble making.
As part of the VSO School of Music International Young Artists Festival, the Music Adventure Day Camp offers young children an inspiring and playful entry into the world of music. While the festival welcomes outstanding young musicians from around the world, this special program is designed for our youngest participants: curious minds eager to explore, create, and discover music in a supportive and imaginative environment.
Throughout the week, campers will sing, move, listen, play, and learn together, building foundational skills while experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of an international classical music festival.
Each day includes a balance of structured musical learning, creative play, and supervised breaks.
Program highlights include:
- Music theory basics through games and hands-on activities
- Rhythm exploration and world music
- Ear training and active listening skills
- Group ensemble playing (instruments will be provided)
- Supervised snack breaks and creative activities
- Listening opportunities in select festival masterclasses (for parents too)
- Final presentation on Friday afternoon (4:30 PM)
Who should enroll?
This camp is ideal for children ages 5½ to 10 who are:
