This is an online music class, taught using Zoom
Add some joyful music to your day with this 10-part course led by Juno-nominated bassist, composer, producer and educator Jodi Proznick. Participants will listen to music together and chat about the the rich and wonderful history of jazz in North America, examining issues and theories including race, gender, mass media and the relationship between music and culture.
Each session consists of a 60min lecture followed by 30mins discussion. Suitable for anyone who would like to learn more about this great music, whether in preparation for a higher education music program, or just to gain a deeper understanding of the context and language of music they love.
