Music of Different Cultures
Keep creativity and curiosity alive over Spring Break with this flexible arts camp for children in Kindergarten – Grade 3 (or equivalent). In the mornings, learn, experience and play music from around the world including China, Vietnam, India, Ireland, Israel and Quebec.
In the afternoons, explore Indigenous stories with an Elder and artists! Spend a creative, hands-on week with Artists Rendering Tales Collective Inc. (ARTCi) Meet an Indigenous Elder who will introduce traditional drumming, music, protocol and storytelling traditions, then enjoy a week of expressing them with ARTCi’s drama, visual and media arts artists! You will experience a different artform every afternoon.
All sessions are led by experienced childhood arts education specialists. The camp caters for a maximum of 12 children, with assistant supervision. Each day starts with a mixed-age, invigorating warm-up and ends with a calming wrap-up session.
