Our popular Arts Explorers Camp is back by popular demand and this year promises even more excitement! Celebrate creativity and collaboration, while building confidence and making new friends. Pick the theme that interests you the most or spend both weeks at the VSO School of Music!
WEEK 1 Bunnies! – Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20
In our first week, hop into a world of imagination, music, and fun! This week-long camp invites students to explore the magic of the performing arts through the whimsical musical “Bunnies!” — a heartwarming tale of friendship, courage, and irresistible cuteness.
What We’ll Explore:
- Voice & Acting: Learn to bring characters like Flopsy, Mopsy, and the faux-ferocious wolves to life!
- Music: Sing catchy songs like The Bunny Song, Friendship Song, and The Bunny Hop.
- Set & Costume Design: Create forest scenes, bunny ears, and wolf paws with hands-on art activities.
- Movement & Dance: Discover how adorable choreography can melt even the scariest wolf’s heart.

WEEK 2 Meow! – Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27
In the second week, get ready to pounce into a week of theatrical fun! This camp invites students to explore the performing arts through the hilarious and heartwarming musical MEOW!-The Tale of Rover and Mewliet, where cats and dogs learn that friendship can overcome even the fiercest rivalry.
What We’ll Explore:
- Acting & Character Work: Become a sassy cat or a goofy dog in this tail-wagging tale of Rover and Mewliet.
- Music & Singing: Perform songs like The Cat’s Meow, Outrageous!, and MEOW-nale! — with solos and group numbers.
- Set & Costume Design: Build dog houses, decorate a giant tree, and create paws, tails, and whiskers galore.
- Movement & Choreography: Learn cat-like stealth and doggie chaos in fun, expressive dance routines.
