Suzuki Violin Group Class Book 1 to 2
This class is all about the joy of making music with peers while strengthening the fundamentals of good posture, tone, and technique. In a fun and supportive group setting, students of age 5-7 revisit familiar pieces from their individual lessons and experience the excitement of playing together. The class encourages active listening, cooperation, and ensemble awareness, helping students connect more deeply with the music they already know. It is a space to celebrate progress, share music with friends, and discover the joy of learning together.
The final class of each term will include an informal solo and group performance to celebrate success and progress.
Required Learning History:
Students should have completed a beginner class and be actively working on Suzuki Violin Book 1 or 2. Students in Book 3 are also welcome to join – this is a wonderful opportunity to revisit familiar repertoire with greater ease and focus on musicality, tone, ensemble skills, and expressive playing.
Materials to Purchase:
- Book: Suzuki Violin School, Volume 1 & 2
- Well-fitted violin (ongoing guidance provided)
Registration Information:
- Course Structure: This is an annual commitment with 3 terms curriculum built in, divided into terms (e.g., Fall, Winter, Spring) with three payment plans. Students will have maximized learning results from the all-year consistency.
- Mid-Year Enrollment: We welcome new students throughout the year. Mid-year enrollment may be accepted if class size allows and the student is at a comparable playing level. The placement could be done through Informal teacher meeting or short assessment to ensure group fit (e.g., posture, listening skills, and repertoire).
