Violin Technique 1
Violin Technique 1 is a specialized laboratory for students in RCM Grades 7–9 to deconstruct and refine the mechanics of advanced playing. Under the guidance of David Lakirovich, students will focus on the fundamental “tools of the trade,” including sophisticated bow control, shifting accuracy in higher positions, and the development of a versatile vibrato. This course bridges the gap between purely physical execution and artistic intent, providing students with the technical consistency required for high-level examinations and competitive ensemble performance.

This is a full year program running from September 2026 to June 2027.
Violin Technique 2
Violin Technique 2 is an intensive master-level workshop designed for the high-achieving violinist. Under the expert mentorship of David Lakirovich, students tackle the most demanding aspects of the instrument, including advanced double-stop facility, complex bowing patterns (spiccato, sautille, and ricochet), and high-position fingerboard mastery. This course is essential for those preparing for ARCT diplomas, university auditions, or professional solo opportunities, providing the technical “polish” and physical stamina required for the most challenging repertoire in the violin canon.
