| Adult Vocal Jazz Ensemble (25+ years old) | Mondays, 7:00–9:00 PM |
Our Vocal Jazz Ensembles are auditioned groups that explore a wide range of vocal jazz repertoire, from classic swing and blues to contemporary jazz, jazz-pop fusion, and modern vocal styles. Singers develop essential ensemble musicianship, stylistic awareness, and jazz vocal technique while collaborating in a supportive, community-focused environment. Repertoire includes works by renowned vocal jazz arrangers, as well as original and custom arrangements created by the ensemble director, Will Clements.
This year, we are pleased to offer both Youth and Adult Vocal Jazz Ensembles, creating dynamic opportunities for singers at different stages of their musical journey.
Each ensemble meets weekly for a 2-hour coached rehearsal on Monday Evenings. Participants work toward high-quality performance opportunities, including concerts in Pyatt Hall and at other venues.
Singers are grouped by age and ensemble type, and all applicants should have prior ensemble and/or singing experience. Once ensembles are rostered, participants will be required to pay 35% of the fee to secure their place, and the remaining fees will be paid in monthly instalments.
Rhythm Section Players
Rhythm section musicians (piano, guitar, bass, drums) are welcome to participate in Vocal Jazz Ensembles. Interested players should apply through the Jazz Combo or Big Band application portals and indicate their interest in vocal accompaniment as part of their application.
