Jonathan Djakov wins the Vancouver Chamber Choir’s Young Composers’ Competition

Congratulations to VSO School of Music student, Jonathan Djakov (student of Eileen Padgett), on winning the elementary category of the Vancouver Chamber Choir’s 16th Biennial Young Composers’ Competition. Jonathan’s piece, along with the Secondary and Post-Secondary category winners, will be performed at the Horizons concert on January 27, 2024. The Vancouver Chamber Choir posted, “We would like to thank everyone for their submission and impressive work. We had an incredibly talented group of composers, which made the decision even tougher.” Well done Jonathan!
