Jane Ma

Jane Ma is from Guangzhou, South China, and has lived in Vancouver since 2011. She loves singing and has honed her vocal talent since she was young. In 1992, Jane graduated from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, majoring in vocal music. She has engaged in a 29-year teaching career and has gained experience in vocal music teaching, choir instructing and music appreciation courses. She has been a teacher at the VSO School of Music since 2016. Jane is a lyric soprano, who’s voice is praised as being very pure and beautiful . She has had a lot of experience performing, and has performed solos at the VSO’s 100th anniversary “Day of Music” celebration in January 2019 and May 2021. Jane has also participated, hosted, and adjudicated many vocal competitions. She received The Singing Award of  National Praise of Kong Fansen Songs Creation Competition, the government award in Beijing in 1996.
