Sunny She

Chinese violinist Xiaoxue Sunny She was appointed to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra first violin section in January 2023. Sunny has performed in various prestigious events in Germany, Singapore, South Korea, Canada, USA and of course, China.  

After moving to Canada in 2013, Sunny played with the National Arts Centre Symphony Orchestra in Ottawa and was invited to join them for their very first tour of China. Since 2014, Sunny performs regularly with the VSO. 

Sunny has received awards in numerous competitions, such as the Alice & Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition in 2013. Sunny holds a Graduate Certificate from the University of Southern California, USA, and her Master and Bachelor degrees from the Central Conservatory of Music, China. Besides playing in the VSO, Sunny also enjoys teaching violin and playing duos with her students. She believes that music makes life better.
