The VSO School of Music Recorder Ensemble will improve your recorder playing skills and musicality in a fun and welcoming environment. Led by Marea Chernoff, this program focuses on developing essential ensemble skills such as listening, blending, tuning, and rhythmic precision, all while exploring diverse and exciting repertoire. Music selections span from Renaissance pieces to contemporary compositions, offering something for every taste.
Participants will engage in weekly rehearsals with the goal of performing in end-of-term concerts. These performances are a wonderful opportunity to share your progress and passion with friends, family, and the broader community.
No audition is required and this ensemble is recommended for intermediate players and above.
