L, who turned 5, had a BLAST at her virtual birthday. Given the current situation she was so disappointed not to have a party in person, but she called the VSO virtual birthday party hosted by the amazing Gillian “the best birthday ever!”
She loved seeing all her friends online celebrating with her, singing songs and playing homemade instruments. Gillian incorporated her unicorn theme throughout the whole party, including being surrounded by unicorn stuffies and dressed as a unicorn herself. It was so well curated just for L and made her feel very special. Thank you!!

Rachel totally exceeded our expectations for our little one’s birthday party. As you can imagine it’s been a pretty disheartening year to have a little one with so many worries and social restrictions. When we heard about the chance to do a virtual party with you guys, we jumped at the chance. We live for music in this house and we’re completely thrilled with the party we had.
Rachel was fun and engaging and picked a perfect selection of songs and games for our 1 year old. She had fun props and even decorated her space for the party, how special for us! Many of our friends are professional musicians and they were so impressed with Rachel’s voices and musical choices. It was a total delight.
Thanks to the VSO School and specially to Rachel for making our first party so so special.

We really enjoyed the bespoke birthday party that the VSO School of Music put together for my child. It was a smooth and easy process to get it arranged, and it was so nice that they took care of the logistics of invitations and the technology. Teacher Libby created really fun content on the theme “orcas” which is my child’s favourite animal. She sang songs and read a story to my child and their friends and family — the kids were captivated, and had loads of fun.
My child felt very special, and it was really nice that we were able to include folks that live far away! I also liked that Libby let us continue the Zoom party on once the activities had finished, so we could have a good catch-up. It was truly one of the best birthday parties we’ve had — thank you!

On behalf of V and all the kids who participated in the online zoom birthday call yesterday, we would like to say a big thank you for a wonderful time. The party was lots of fun, entertaining and everything that we expected and more. Gillian’s engagement with the kids was fantastic and the various topics, stories and activities that she had lined out made for an awesome event. She has a wonderful voice and an upbeat demeanour with kids.

Libby, thank you very much for hosting it! You were great (as always!). I was near G all the time and saw how he and other kids were involved in all the songs and activities, which for me is the main indicator of them liking it. These kids had music classes at pre-school, bus since everything is via computers nowadays, school has been sending them pre-recorded classes in the past few weeks. But as you may imagine, pre-recorded classes aren’t the same as live ones, so seeing a teacher and having an opportunity to interact with you in real time was a huge plus.
So there is virtually nothing we would suggest you to improve! Just keep doing what you’re doing…
