This event is offered as part of the VSO School’s VSO Mentorship Program
Christie Reside has been the Principal Flute of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra since 2004, and frequently performs as guest Principal Flute with orchestras around the world. She is also a proud member of the award-winning Standing Wave Ensemble, a music group dedicated to commissioning and performing works by Canadian and international composers.
This masterclass will begin with a lecture on stage presence followed by performers receiving feedback. All students and chamber ensembles are welcome to apply for a performance slot. We ask that performers prepare an excerpt of a piece about 2-3mins in length, such as the exposition. This excerpt can be from part of large work or a movement. Please email Mia Gazley if you have any questions. Sign up or RSVP now.
